I love sponge cake. It’s light, airy and delicious. This is my go-to recipe for a simple sponge cake.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted (or 1 cup cake flour and 1 cup cornstarch)
